A grand, raw and brilliantly executed piece of blackened folk metal. The acoustic and metal passages flow together seamlessly. A must own for every Canadian - or a must own for anyone who loves damn good music. iamtherevenant

This album is, without a shadow of a doubt, my favourite album of all time. Lyrically magnificent, musically phenomenal, and the plot is one of the most well constructed things I've ever seen, being both coherent and deep. Don't miss up on the chance to listen to this beast, it is truly incredible. iamtherevenant

This world is scarce of all things banjo... this needs to change. Thrawsunblat acoustified three of their brilliant songs off their debut Canada (quite possibly the most polite album title ever). Very impressive considering this foray is their first release into acoustics. Arrogant Bastard

It is a tragedy that there are only two tracks of this melodic black masterpiece. I listen to them a lot anyway. It falls squarely between Woods and Thrawsunblat with some deliciously angry guitars that don't show up in either place. Kristian K. Erikson

Their take on folk-black metal is fine, but just like Eluveitie, I appear to prefer their stripped-down, acoustic approach. It's dark, yet playful and an ode to the great, Canadian north. gebs
