This album is, without a shadow of a doubt, my favourite album of all time. Lyrically magnificent, musically phenomenal, and the plot is one of the most well constructed things I've ever seen, being both coherent and deep. Don't miss up on the chance to listen to this beast, it is truly incredible. iamtherevenant
A grand, raw and brilliantly executed piece of blackened folk metal. The acoustic and metal passages flow together seamlessly. A must own for every Canadian - or a must own for anyone who loves damn good music. iamtherevenant
Interesting little release from the times when North American black metal was still not such a big thing as it is today. Would have loved to hear more tunes from this collaboration. Gladly we got these two at least, as they are both great. Kursma
Remember in the 1930s when the sheriff and the mine owners conspired to kill strikers in Harlan county to break the strike?
I'm sure Panopticon remembers. fartykannon
Only first heard this song as a tribute never knowing the band and wanted to hear the original so much more after. I became an instant fan of the song and the band and was more than sad knowing David was taken from us so tragically. As tributes go this is a masterpiece. ger_wilson
